Copper sinks come in both a polished finish and the natural patina. How you clean and take care of your new copper sink will depend on which finish the copper has. If you choose the polished patina, you will have to polish it on a regular basis to keep it shiny and new looking. Check for a polish made for copper. The patina of copper is like a living finish, it changes and reacts to the environment it is in. Oxidation appears which transforms the copper a darker color, thus the natural look. To keep up that darker color do not use harsh chemicals when cleaning, use only soap and water.
